Placement Days Tool

The California Placement Days Tool is an Excel tool designed to allow California counties to estimate the financial implications of changes in foster care placement types and foster care caseload. We are making this draft version available for your use and to encourage feedback that will help us improve the tool. If you have questions, suggestions, or corrections for the Placement Days Tool or accompanying User Guide, please contact us.

You can copy data from the Placement Days report on the CCWIP website to the Excel workbook, and then use calculation worksheets to explore potential or planned changes in number, type, and average length of placements.
