Effective Quarter 4 (October – December), 2008, the measure has been revised to a quarterly report of
outcomes for youth who exited foster care placement due to attaining age
18 or 19, or those foster youth under age 18 who were legally emancipated
from foster care pursuant to Family Code Section 7000. Measure 8A will now
include only welfare supervised foster youth. All data for the measure
will be collected from the SOC 405E, Exit Outcomes for Youth Aging Out of
Foster Care Quarterly Statistical Report. As this reports youth exiting
to emancipation during the quarter, it will differ from reports of exits
to emancipation elsewhere on this site.
