Time in Care

A child’s time in out of home care for a given placement episode is captured in one of the intervals listed below:

1. <= 12 months
2. 12-23 months
3. 24-35 months
4. 36-47 months
5. 48-59 months
6. 60+ months
7. Missing

When Time in Care is not selected as a dimension, the default filter includes Missing values and all time categories. Users can also filter reports to include only certain periods (e.g., only children in care for 60+ months) by checking those categories for which report data are to be included.

Note: For Transition Age Youth (TAY) reports the categories 48-59 months and 60+ months are grouped into the category 48+ months.
