Teresa S. Dal Santo, Ph.D., is the Project Director for the Center for the Advanced Study of Aging Services where her duties include general Center operations and research project management. She has worked at the Center since January 1998 specializing in Aging Services Research. Currently, she is the project director and senior research associate working with the California Department of Aging to implement and evaluate the National Family Caregiver Support Program in California.
Dr. Dal Santo received her doctorate from Claremont Graduate School in Applied Social Psychology and her dissertation research focused on understanding the determinants of ancillary support and personal care service utilization among the elderly. While at Claremont Graduate School, she developed an expertise in the areas of advanced quantitative methods, research methodology and program evaluation.
Prior to joining CASAS, Dr. Dal Santo held a number of senior positions in the health care industry, most recently at the California Medical Association (CMA) and its insurance subsidiary California Advantage, working in project management, research, policy analysis and educational and program development.
